Supplies 21 points Wednesday
Towns provided 21 points (8-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 overtime victory over the Trail Blazers.
Analysis
The 29-year-old center scored more than 20 points for the third straight game, and he drained at least one three-pointer for the 15th straight appearance dating back to Feb. 1 -- a stretch in which he's averaging 22.9 points, 11.5 boards, 2.3 assists, 2.2 threes and 1.1 steals. Towns' uptick in scoring over the last week has come with Jalen Brunson (ankle) sidelined. With the star point guard out until at least the end of March, Towns will likely continue to see increased usage.

Double-double in Friday's loss
Towns provided a team-high 23 points (8-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Friday's 105-95 loss to the Clippers.
Analysis
The veteran center has delivered a double-double in three straight appearances to begin the month of March. Towns' 46 on the season put him third in the NBA behind Domantas Sabonis (50) and Nikola Jokic (49). Towns has an active streak of 13 straight games with at least one three-pointer, and during that stretch, he's averaging 22.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.2 threes, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals.

Shooting woes in loss Thursday
Towns amassed 12 points (3-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 42 minutes during Thursday's 113-109 overtime loss to the Lakers.
Analysis
Towns returned to game action after missing Monday's win over Miami due to personal reasons, recording his 45th double-double through 55 regular-season outings. However, the big man delivered a lackluster performance from the field, and over six appearances since the All-Star break, he has shot 46.0 percent from the floor and only 28.1 percent from beyond the arc. The 29-year-old has averaged 20.2 points, 13.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 three-pointers across 37.7 minutes per contest in that six-game span.
