The Evolution of Collecting: Sealing, Player Loyalty, and Vaults
The 2025 Sorare MLB season is here, and with it comes the next evolution in how you collect, strategize, and connect with your favorite players. We’re thrilled to introduce Sealing, Vaults, and Player Loyalty—three powerful new mechanics that transform collecting into a more meaningful, rewarding, and immersive experience.
Sealing& Vaults: Curate Your Collection
Imagine having a personal showcase of your most prized cards—a collection that’s uniquely yours. With Sealing, you can now lock Cards in your own Vault. Once sealed, these cards become untouchable—they can’t be sold, traded or used in competitions, but they help you level up your Vault and Player Loyalty.
The higher the level, the better your rewards from competitions.
Your Vault, organized by scarcity (Limited, Rare, Super Rare, Unique), becomes your own curated museum of Sorare MLB greatness. It’s not just about owning cards anymore—it’s about building a legacy.
Key Details on Sealing and Unsealing Cards
- You can only seal one Player Card from each season they have been minted.
- Example: If you own a Limited Shohei Ohtani card from 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, you can seal all four because they’re from different seasons. If you own two Limited Ohtani cards from 2024, you can seal only one of them.
- Sealing is reversible; once a card is sealed, you can unseal it after a 7-day cooldown
- You can unseal 1 card per day per scarcity (Limited, Rare, Super Rare, Unique).
- Example: If you have 3 sealed Limited cards, you can only unseal 1 per day. If you have 1 sealed Rare card and 1 sealed Limited card, you can unseal both on the same day since they’re different scarcities.
Level Up Your Vault & Player Loyalty
The more you seal, the more you’re rewarded. As you seal Cards, you simultaneously build up your Vault & Player Loyalty Levels, unlocking perks.
Boosted Rewards
Vault Levels and Player Loyalty Levels aren’t just about showcasing your collection—they’re about enhancing your experience as a Manager. As Managers increase their Vault and Player Loyalty Levels, they will unlock Boosted Rewards for competitions. Boosted Rewards apply to Cash, Cards, Market Credits, and Essence earned from competitions, giving you more reasons to celebrate every Game Week.
Vault and Player Loyalty Levels
The higher you go, the bigger the rewards boost—but the milestones get tougher, too. Your Vault & Player Loyalty Levels will decrease when you unseal a card.
Milestones for Player Loyalty vary based on how many seasons a player has been minted in Sorare:
Boosted Rewards Explained
Think of Vault and Player Loyalty Levels like this:
- Vault Level: Your Vault Level is scarcity specific, and so are the Perks including boosted rewards. For example, all of your Limited lineups will receive boosted rewards based on your Limited Vault Level.
- Player Loyalty Level: Player Loyalty unlocks Perks specific to players within a scarcity. Additional boosted rewards are added to a lineup when a player with multiple sealed vintages of their Card is used. The more vintages of a player’s card you seal, the higher their Player Loyalty Level—and the bigger the boost to your rewards.
- Example: If you own 3 Limited Ohtani cards from different seasons (e.g., from 2022, 2023, and 2024), sealing them will increase both your Limited Vault Level and Ohtani’s Limited Player Loyalty Level. Since Ohtani’s Player Loyalty Level increased, anytime you use an unsealed Ohtani card in a lineup, that lineup will receive Ohtani’s Player Loyalty Reward Boost. That lineup’s Reward Boost would be calculated as:
Vault Level Rewards Boost + Ohtani’s Player Loyalty Rewards Boost.
If your Limited Vault Level gives you a 15% rewards boost and Ohtani’s Limited Player Loyalty adds a 5% rewards boost, your total reward boost for that lineup would be 20%. This means 20% more Cash, Essence, and Credits for you!
It’s possible for lineups to max out at 50% boosted rewards, giving the biggest collectors even more rewards.
Please note that Sealing, Vaults, and Player Loyalty do not impact team collections and the collection game.
For Cash, Market Credits, and Essence your rewards boost is applied directly to the amount you win. For example, a 10% boost on $100 worth of rewards will give you $110
For Cards, reward boosts earn you Essence. If you max out your rewards boost at 50%, here’s what you’ll get in addition to your Card reward:
- Star: 3,500 Essence
- Tier 1: 1,500 Essence
- Tier 2: 1,000 Essence
- Tier 3: 400 Essence
- Tier 4: 300 Essence
- Tier 5: 250 Essence
It’s a challenge worth taking for dedicated collectors. Whether you’re chasing big rewards or building a legacy, the perks are waiting for you.
